Didn't speak English till he was five ( Italian raised) and was bullied by other kids for his broken English, dropped out of high school in the tenth grade because he thought he was smarter than the teachers. (Who didn't?;) Bootlegged liquor, served as a speakeasy croupier, was a blackjack dealer, worked in a steel mill and boxed as a welterweight before teaming w/ J Lewis and eventually became the iconic 'King of Cool' member of the RP. Oh Sammy. You are probably my Fave of the Rat Pack. Carefully balanced the black/ white with tad bit more weight on the black. Heavy smoker, she died of pneumonia at 67 ( Sinatra paid her medical expenses even though she had the $$), in fact, when married to blue eyes she had 2 abortions because HW couldn't have a pregnant star. Outspoken, assertive, wore trousers & refused to conform to gender toll expectations .
